Why we made this

Finding your next favourite book should be about more than picking a genre. Read & Found starts with the books, authors or kinds of stories you love, asks you three questions to get to know your taste, and suggests five books you might never have found otherwise.

It's a little experiment in what we can do with AI for good, not evil (or profit). The point isn't to replace a bookseller or a conversation with a friend, but to help people discover something they might love.

AI has an environmental footprint, but a set of recommendations uses significantly less electricity and is estimated to consume less water than boiling a full kettle or watching an hour of Netflix.
